Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your luxurious accommodation in Arusha. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind. You may choose to enjoy the views of Mount Meru, or simply relax at the lodge, taking in the surrounding landscape. You’ll have time to recover from your journey and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. Dinner will be served at your lodge, providing a taste of local Tanzanian cuisine.
After breakfast, your safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. You will embark on a full-day game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness the park’s diverse wildlife, including herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of bird species. Lunch will be served in a scenic spot inside the park, offering beautiful views. In the afternoon, you will continue your game drive before heading to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
On the third day, after breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its tree-climbing lions and stunning birdlife, the park offers a diverse landscape ranging from dense forests to open woodlands and a large soda lake. You will embark on a game drive to see the many species of animals that call the park home, such as flamingos, elephants, and baboons. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the lake, and in the afternoon, you will have the option to visit a Maasai village or take another game drive to explore the park further.
On day four, you will depart early for the iconic Serengeti National Park. En route, stop at the Olduvai Gorge, a site of great archaeological significance, where some of the oldest hominid fossils were discovered. Afterward, continue on to the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive in the park’s central plains. Known for its incredible wildlife, the Serengeti offers abundant opportunities to see the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos). Return to your lodge in the evening to unwind after a thrilling day of wildlife viewing.
Today, you will spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti. Start your day with an early morning game drive, where you might catch sight of lions on the hunt or witness the migration of wildebeest and zebras. The Serengeti offers a varied landscape, from rolling plains to kopjes, and each offers a chance to see different wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before heading back out for an afternoon game drive. You may choose to take an optional hot air balloon safari for a unique aerial view of the Serengeti.
On day six, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife. After breakfast, you will descend into the crater floor for a full-day game drive. This natural amphitheater is home to some of the world’s most iconic species, including lions, cheetahs, and rhinoceros. You will also have the chance to spot various bird species and even the rare black rhino. The views from the crater rim are spectacular, and in the late afternoon, you will return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
On the final day, after breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable safari experience.
We had the trip of a lifetime with Emnel Adventures. Every park was a new adventure. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater were breathtaking, and our guide made sure we saw every animal. Highly recommend this tour!
